Introduction

Auspicious dragons embody the grace of a great nation; red-crowned cranes symbolize lasting fortune and longevity; lotus flowers stand for peace and goodwill. This national ceremonial porcelain gift, once presented to Her Majesty the Queen of the United Kingdom, conveys sincere wishes for amicable relations between China and Britain, as well as everlasting peace and prosperity year after year across the world.
It is crafted with high-temperature porcelain body from Jingdezhen, entirely coated with gilded base glaze. Layered hand-painted patterns of dragons, clouds, lotus flowers and cranes are rendered in overglaze new colors, with multiple painting and repeated kiln-firing procedures to complete the artwork.
