Introduction

This complete tea set includes seven pieces: a bamboo handle teapot, tea caddy, fairness pitcher and four tasting cups. All pieces adopt unified soft trapezoidal silhouettes with rounded, solid lines, inheriting the minimalist solemn charm of Shang and Zhou bronze ritual vessels, while curved outlines are optimized for comfortable gripping and tea pouring in modern use. The teapot is fitted with a curved natural bamboo handle fixed with copper wire for heat insulation. The hollow suspended base of the pot aids heat dissipation while adding artistic ingenuity; the lid is topped with a ruyi-shaped knob for soft elegance. The waist-tapered tea caddy matches the lid knob design of the teapot for visual harmony. The fairness pitcher features a small round side ear for easy holding during pouring. The irregular square shallow tasting cups are equipped with double small anti-scald ears, sized perfectly to fit the palm. The set forms neat layered heights when displayed, balancing practical tea-making function and desktop decorative aesthetics.
All vessels feature unified antique bronze relief decorations centered on simplified beast-face patterns and symmetrical scroll grass motifs, originating from Shang and Zhou bronze ritual vessels that carry the solemn, ancient connotation of oriental ritual culture. Centered symmetric relief lines are neat and primitive, forming concave-convex texture contrast against plain pale celadon glaze. The restrained, uncluttered design aligns with minimalist modern tea room aesthetics. Following the creative concept of “ancient shapes for modern use”, the design transforms archaic bronze symbolic forms into daily contemporary tea wares, softening the heavy solemnity of ritual vessels and highlighting the gentle elegance of celadon. Consistent design language across all pieces in shape, pattern and knob delivers complete visual harmony. Free of extra colored decorations, the set centers on the plain jade texture of single-color celadon to build a tranquil, minimalist and ancient tea-drinking atmosphere, suitable for Chinese tea rooms, zen studies and simple tea spaces.

Rooted in China’s thousand-year celadon heritage, this work integrates ancient bronze culture with modern daily ceramic design. It recreates the gentle aesthetics of Song porcelain via pale celadon glaze, and traces Chinese ritual culture through antique relief patterns, realizing the life-oriented reinterpretation of traditional retro elements. Craft-wise, it combines two classic celadon techniques: molded relief carving and high-temperature single glaze. Co-firing a full set of matched pieces poses higher difficulty than single vessels, with strict standards for uniform glaze color and intact relief details. The design balances ornamental and practical value: humanized details including heat-insulating bamboo handle, anti-scald double-ear cups and hollow heat-dissipating pot base optimize modern tea brewing experience. The seven-piece complete set covers all tea-making procedures: brewing, tea storage, pouring and tasting. It serves as both a fully functional Gongfu tea tool and a desktop art collection carrying classical aesthetics. Abandoning complicated colored decorations, the set builds sophisticated minimalist texture via glaze quality and relief lines, matching mainstream zen, neo-Chinese and minimalist oriental interior styles. It stands as a premium complete celadon set integrating practical tea ware functionality, traditional craft aesthetics and retro cultural heritage.
