Introduction
Jingdezhen Ceramic Plaque
This round porcelain plaque features a rich scarlet background. Its surface is adorned with multiple red-crowned cranes, golden rice ears and bright yellow lotus blossoms, while the base bears mottled dark green kiln-transformation textures, delivering a full, festive composition.
Crafted from high-temperature round porcelain blanks made in Jingdezhen, the plaque is glazed with scarlet under high heat. Delicate patterns of cranes, lotus flowers and rice ears are hand-painted in overglaze new colors, complemented by kiln-transformation effects on the bottom. Multiple firings in the kiln complete this elaborate decorative piece of state ceremonial porcelain giftware.
Red-crowned cranes embody longevity and well-being; rice ears symbolize bumper grain harvests; lotus flowers stand for harmony and smooth fortune. The crimson base radiates the thriving vitality of a prosperous era. As state ceremonial porcelain, it conveys auspicious blessings of national peace, stable livelihoods, longevity and abundant prosperity.
