Introduction
Jingdezhen Ceramic Vase
This classic state-gift winter melon vase with a rounded plump belly features a glossy bright-red neck paired with a scarlet-glazed body. Its surface is fully painted with flying cranes, golden rice stalks and yellow lotus flowers, while the vase base is washed with antique dark kiln-transformation glaze, presenting a luxurious and solemn color palette.
Fired from high-temperature ceramic body in Jingdezhen with a Chinese scarlet base glaze, the vase is delicately outlined with fine details of immortal cranes, rice ears and lotus blossoms via overglaze new colors. The bottom is layered with kiln-transformation textures, and repeated multiple kiln firings create this high-end state ceremonial display porcelain.
Immortal cranes stand for longevity; rice ears symbolize abundant harvest and wealth; lotus flowers represent harmony and peace. The Chinese scarlet glaze sets off the grand aura of a prosperous era. As state ceremonial porcelain, it carries auspicious blessings for thriving fortune, longevity, national peace and universal tranquility.
