Profile

Guo Aihe is a Master of Chinese Arts and Crafts, Master of Chinese Ceramic Art, Master of Chinese Ceramic Design Art, and Curator of the Luoyang Sancai Art Museum . He is a deputy to the 14th National People’s Congress, a recipient of the Special Government Allowance from the State Council, and an Outstanding Expert of the Ministry of Culture. In 2001, he was named a Master of Arts and Crafts of Henan Province.
Honors & Achievements
The Sancai Art tri-color glazed paintings designed by Guo Aihe were designated as State Gifts by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in 1990, shocking the ceramic community at home and abroad. He has held numerous solo exhibitions featuring his Sancai glazed paintings in Shanghai, Jingdezhen, and other cities. Many of his works are permanently collected by institutions including the China National Arts and Crafts Museum, the National Art Treasures Museum of China, the Shanghai Arts and Crafts Museum, and the Gwangju Museum of Art in South Korea.
Major works
Guo Zhi Zhong, Cheng Zhi Yuan served as the themed mural for the Henan Pavilion at Expo 2010 Shanghai China. In the same year, it claimed two top honors: the Gold Award of Chinese Arts and Crafts in the Golden Phoenix Innovative Product Design Competition, and the Hundred Flowers Cup Gold Award at the 11th Exhibition of Works by Masters of Chinese Arts and Crafts.

Taiyanghua (Sunflower) won the Gold Award at the 1st National Competition for Firing Techniques of Famous Historical Chinese Porcelains.

His work Tang Yun was awarded the UNESCO Seal of Excellence for Handicrafts and exhibited at the International Exhibition of Intangible Cultural Heritage held in the Louvre Museum, France.
