The glaze, whose interior resembles a pool of still water, is crafted from raw Yingqing ore sourced from Hutian Kiln.

High-concentration glaze slip fuses freely under kiln heat at 1300°C, forming countless tiny air bubbles that lend the glaze a vivid, living vitality, as if creatures dwell within the pool. Once firing finishes, the ware cools slowly, leaving a crystal-clear, lucid glaze surface.
With this craft, the old idiom “boiling water to make ice” no longer stands for the impossible.
