Natural Texture & Embossed Printing
The Houkui Cup is an evolved design within our Scale Collection. We boldly exaggerated the classic conical shape of a bamboo hat, crafting an elongated silhouette akin to Houkui tea cup, while retaining the tactile scale texture.
Embedded within a vitreous glaze are 1,406 individual scale embossments. The Yingqing shadow celadon glaze hovers between pale blue and milky white, its hues soft and veiled. This subtle aesthetic embodies our vision of Eastern beauty—understated, reserved, and graceful.
Compared to stemmed goblets, this slender, elongated Houkui cup fully embodies authentic Chinese elegance.

Beyond brewing fine tea, Houkui cup can capture and hold layers of delicate aroma, such as wine.
White serves as its base tone. The glaze formula is refined from sweet white glaze.
Built upon a moist, lucid foundation, it features reduced opaqueness compared to traditional versions.
The finish carries a mild, serene temperament yet retains translucency—light passing through the cup still casts soft shadows.
