The phrase “I can only drink a little” embodies the essence of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism alike — a social wisdom deeply rooted in Chinese culture.

The outer shell of a drinking party is worldly tact, demanding smooth and proper poise to save face; its core lies in human warmth, valuing sincere and heartfelt affection beneath the surface.

During the design phase, we carved shallower bas-relief onto the ceramic body and extended the glazing duration. We also added a silver-rimmed base to the cup. The result is this cup with an overall sleek and well-proportioned exterior, while sharp, intricate textures on the interior reveal themselves only upon close inspection.
