Introduction
Ceramic Plaque
This rectangular porcelain plaque from the Lotus & Crane Collection features vintage mottled golden-brown kiln transformation glaze as its background. Its surface is fully painted with clusters of pink-petaled lotus flowers and flocks of cranes in varied postures. The layout is well-proportioned, embodying elegant, timeless oriental charm.
Crafted on a high-temperature rectangular porcelain blank from Jingdezhen, the plaque adopts natural kiln transformation glaze to create an antique base tone. Layered delicate hand-painting of lotus flowers and red-crowned cranes is rendered in overglaze new colors, with repeated kiln firings to finish this integrated decorative porcelain plaque.
Lotus flowers symbolize harmonious perfection, while red-crowned cranes stand for longevity and good health. Paired together, they convey auspicious blessings of peace and celebration. Ideal for wall display in clubs, tea rooms and neo-Chinese style mansions, it also serves as a premium state gift for business occasions.
