Introduction
Chinese Ceramic Plaque
Work Title: Qiuyu Youmeng (Autumn Rain & Quiet Reverie)
Dimensions: Length: 820 mm, Width: 820 mm
Materials: Dense high-white square ceramic slab as the substrate, paired with natural mineral high-temperature colored glazes and fine overglaze ceramic pigments, finished with a matte transparent protective glaze on the surface.
Craftsmanship: Meticulously crafted through multiple traditional ceramic procedures: clay kneading, shaping and bisque firing; high-temperature colored glaze kiln transformation to form natural textured base tones; hand-painted delicate egret scenery with overglaze pigments; final glazing and refiring.
The high-temperature colored glaze creates soft, hazy undertones reminiscent of autumn rain, while delicate overglaze painting depicts still white egrets, conjuring a serene and tranquil poetic vision of a water town in autumn.
